Get up, it’s time to worship!

Perspective Shift I had a thought this week that I want to share with you. For it to have the desired effect before you read, I need you, to be honest with yourself. Like really honest. Ready? Let’s just say hypothetically we live in an alternate 2020. In this 2020, the church, for the last 100 years or so, has been meeting outside in amphitheaters. Big ones, small ones, covered ones, and open ones. The reason this was the norm is that the church decided back in the day, afte...r reading in Romans 1 how the heavens declare his handiwork, decided that meeting outdoors to worship and praise is a testimony to God and His creation. The neighbors will see the church engaged in praise and worship. We will be declaring his authority and glory to the world! Now imagine in this alternate reality, it’s the year 2020 and up pops a crazy toxin in the air outside. Maybe from a vast volcano or nuclear fall out. Let’s just say hypothetically our governor came out and said that we as the church we need to start meeting indoors. The governments said you need to get inside, make sure your ventilation systems are fitted with the newest filters and you need to keep the doors shut to keep you safe inside. COVID UPDATE First just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers. They are felt and appreciated! I also wanted to thank everyone who reached out as the hands an...d feet of Jesus to care for our physical needs. You all truly make Jesus look good! Nicole’s test came back positive yesterday, as we suspected. She has taken the brunt of this thing, but today is doing much better than the past few. I am running about 90% of normal and feeling much better. Qorban (our oldest son) also seems to have it and is dealing with many of the same cold/flu-like symptoms Nicole and I had. All the other kids are good and as rambunctious as ever and are helping us a ton through this. We appreciate your continued prayers! See more

I have always said leaders need to lead by example and today is no different. This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. My wife is also in the process of being tested and most likely has it as well based upon her symptoms. All that to say I am doing well and self quarantining at home. We covet your prayers for our family. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 2 Corinthians 4:17
