My church, The Fountain, on East Holt, came through for me, with over 40 volunteers that did such an amazing job organizing the entire set up this morning, in ...such a professional way. Pastor O'Neal, and his wife Crystal were there participating, Assembly Freddy Rodriguez, donation of 350 bags for the food, Senator Connie Leyva, with $500 worth of gift cards to Staters, Supervisor HIlda Solis, with diapers for babies and toddlers, Mayor Tim Sandoval, who stopped in with his new family, Doug Alvy of A J Super Pawn Shop, Pomona with his outstanding monetary donation, Ethel Gardner of the Kennedy Foundation lending her time and energy, Lorraine Canales and her teen volunteers working bagging rice, and supervising, former councilmember, Paula Lantz volunteering her entire day yesterday, NAACP with their monetary contribution, Pomona Police Department, who organized the strategic way of street safety for all concerned, City of Pomona Staff, Andrea Rico, Jocelyn Rios-Ewing, Community Services, Public Works, other numerous volunteers, PUSD, Roberta Perlman and Fernando Meza, who supported us with the location, and last but not least Allan Espinoza, Pomona Valley Food Bank that that delivered 3 truck loads of great food, to make it happen. And, that the wonderful residents of Pomona, who came and made us part of their lives and helping them with their needs. I am so grateful to have been able to present this to the City of Pomona and hope we can do this again. See more
