Please read! Social distancing and in California and many other states, locales...the Safer At Home acts are critically important to stopping the spread of the virus. Traveling away from your home...even a couple miles to a trailhead, and venturing out, is beyond the scope of the safer at home measures. This is not a snow day, this is not the time to begin an adventure, or explore the trails that are often busier than you’d prefer. STAYING AT HOME means that unless it is critical for your survival (food, supplies, a job in an essential business), then you should be staying at home! Sometimes you sign up for a hike in November with thoughts of falling leaves, cooler temps, and a hot coffee at the end. Then you show up for said hike and it’s dusty, 93 degrees, crowded and nothing but an icy strawberry lemonade after the hike feels appropriate. We may not have ever found our @womenwhohike ambassador, but 5 of us met new friends, hiked together, chatted, and hope to cross paths in e future. It was our very own Women Who Hike hike, and despite the heat, a great morning!

Hello from Wyoming! We haven’t been around much since the spring. Nope, we haven’t moved. Yes, we’re still alive and kicking. The truth is we’ve had a whole lotta adventures and travels...we’ve got so much to catch up on. I’ve got two more days of teaching a WFR near Jackson before heading back into the heat of LA, which *should* conclude my travel until at least thanksgiving! I don’t know about you but January felt like a year! Anyone else? I’ve had nonstop deadlines the last two weeks; between orchestrating a training, teaching and juggling schedules, along with everything else that needs to get done on the daily, I’ve hardly had a moment to stop and think. But last night, I had the pleasure of a moment to breathe, to be inspired and to reflect on a January of accomplishments and firsts, of struggles and persistence and of love and support. ...Thanks Ampersand Dinner for bringing together 50 amazing, inspiring, kick-ass female entrepreneurs. The last week, our heart has been breaking for all those affected by the wildfires in California (#CampFire #woolseyfire #hillfire). Especially some of the folks and organizations we’ve worked with directly who have lost homes, property, and even animals.
