#MedicareForAll is NOT the same as the #Medicare program for those 65 and older today. Be informed. Here's a short video: https://youtu.be/OIVOkgCCFHg #MedicareForAll would push Americans with private insurance into a one-size-fits-all government program. Oppose #M4A to protect patient choices! #NAHUAC2019

#SinglePayer means everyone pays huge new taxes for #healthinsurance. We're here at #NAHUAC2019 working to find real ways to fix our #healthcare system without ...disrupting coverage for millions of Americans #SinglePayer would force Americans off their #healthinsurance, eliminate choice in #healthcare, and cause wait times to skyrocket. There's a better way to improve access to affordable #healthcare. #NAHUAC2019 #SinglePayer #MedicareForAll #NoMedicareForAll #Medicare4All #healthcare4none

Medicare Misconceptions- Take our quiz and see how you rate! Medicare’s Annual Enrollment is soon upon us. Here’s a little quiz to test your Medicare knowledge. Try not to look at the answers first! 1) I will get penalized if I don’t sign up for Part B when I am first eligible False: If you have group coverage through your work or your spouse’s work, you can opt out of Part B until you are no longer eligible for that group plan through retirement or a reduction in hours. Re...member: COBRA and Individual Plans don’t count! 2) For the most part, Medicare supplements don’t cover prescriptions True: Medicare Supplements only cover prescriptions that are Part A or Part B benefits. Most prescriptions fall under Part D. 3) Medicare costs the same for everyone False: Medicare Part B and Part D are income indexed. The more you make, the more you pay. 4) After my initial 6 month enrollment window, I will have to answer health questions to purchase a Medicare supplement True- Except for a few situations, Medicare supplements can ask health questions after your initial enrollment window 5) Annual Enrollment (October 15 to December 7) allows me to switch my Advantage Plan or my Drug Plan True: Again with just a few exceptions you can switch Drug plans, Advantage plans or return to Original Medicare 6) I can get Medicare at age 62 False: You can get Social Security at 62, but you must wait until 65 for Medicare unless you are disabled. 7) I can see any doctor I want to on an Advantage plan. False- at least in Sacramento. Currently the offerings in Sacramento are HMO plans and you must stay in the HMO network. 8) Annual Enrollment is the time to change my Medicare supplement plan with no health questions. False: Again with certain exceptions you must answer health questions to UPGRADE you Medicare Supplement. You can make a lateral plan move with no health questions within 30 days of your birthday. 9) I still pay a Medicare deduction through my paycheck even though I am enrolled in Medicare and paying them directly. True: Remember, Part A is given to most enrollees at no cost. That is because of the Medicare deductions required of working Americans 10) Medicare will deduct my Part B premium from my Social Security payment True: They will bill you if you take Medicare prior to enrolling in Social Security If you got 7 or more right- good for you!
