Paradise Nazarene

Many of you may have heard the recent news, but I'm gonna let all of you, our friends, know what's going on in our lives. This week the New Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Lakewood, Washington (South Tacoma area in the Washington Pacific District) has voted to bring us on as the Lead Pastor of their church. We accepted their offer and will begin the process of relocating from the Sacramento District in the next month. We have thoroughly enjoyed our many friends, par...tners in ministry and thousands of other contacts locally and across this Sacramento District who have been a great part of our lives here. We are stepping into a new arena and going forward knowing that God's plans and resources will stage a new place of growing ministry for His Kingdom in Lakewood. Of course you will be going with us in our hearts and you are welcome to come and check out the new surroundings there as well. Please support our new ministry with your godly love and prayers. Keep us before God’s throne as we will continue to love you as well from a new distance. All with love and prayers from the Tremain family.

There's a sight for sore eyes.

We just have to share: Lloyd is the Chaplain with the Paradise Police Department. Even though he is evacuated 90 miles away, he is still getting up at 5a each day and driving to Paradise to help out and do his thing. 'Cause Jesus is great. So is Lloyd.

When we received the confirmation the church had burned down: THEY HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! We saw a video today and the church was still intact!!! Yay God! Yay church!... There is still a massive need in town; 90% of church families lost everything. PayPal or e-gift card donations can be sent to [email protected]. If you want to mail something, send us a message us for a physical address - we have a couple right now. :)

Update: we just learned that it's currently still standing! We are blessed for sure! We just received confirmation that the church has burned down. Romans 8:28 and stuff. ^_^ #BlessedOrSomething?

It may be odd for some people, but the fact is that our time on the west coast changes this Sunday morning. Because it is "Fall" our time will fall back one hour. Take in the extra hour of sleep and awake refreshed and ready to worship God in His house with His people!

The excitement and joy of seeing someone step into the kingdom of God through their baptism is incredible! Anthony Robinson... Congratulations!

This Sunday we have another mile marker in the life of Odin Sears. He has put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of his life and is looking forward to being baptized Sunday! Come and celebrate this momentous event with us and come ready to partake in Communion too. God is good all the time!
