Today’s #FlashbackFriday features the very first wall art I made. But the road to this first milestone was not an easy one. I started my journey by quilling basic shapes. My first few attempts were messy and weirdly shaped, but I kept trying (again, and again, and again) until they started looking the way I wanted them to. The next challenge was to somehow glue my carefully quilled shapes onto the paper without making another mess. It took several days, and many messes befor...e I felt like I’d gotten a hang of the process. I created this piece of art after many long hours of learning to be neat and consistent with my quilling. In the end, I was quite pleased with how it turned out and was even able to sell it at an exhibition a moment that gave me all the motivation I needed to create more such pieces. The moral of this story? Keep practicing your basics until you reach perfection.
