Hello PLL Family, I come to you with a heavy heart today, today at 1:54 am 5/13/2020 we lost a special person her name was Valerie Terrones for those that did not no her she was at one time the heartbeat of Palmdale Little League when no one would step up to be the president of PLL this woman would. Valerie was the backbone for the couple of years when I (Roger Villasenor )first started at Palmdale Little League she showed me some of the ropes to run this league. Valerie was... tough girl when she had to be, but most of all she was a caring woman she wanted the kids in her family Sara Olivia and grandchildren and her community to learn the game of baseball and softball and more importantly wanted every child to be the best player and human being they possibly can be. Valerie put in a lot of time at the PLL and enjoyed watching her family play with their friends. Valerie on behalf of PLL Thanks you and for your selfless actions and creating a beautiful environment to where all can come and watch the beauty at PLL you will never be forgotten. You are now with God and in peace. And we will meet again I’m sure of that!! Thank you for all you did and shown us. P.S I’ll be expecting those cookies when I see you again See more

Coach Al- dad, grandpa, husband, dear friend, and beloved Little League coach needs our help now more than ever. Coach Al and his family have been struck with Covid-19 and it is devastating the family. Coach Al is currently hospitalized in the ICU and is said to be in stable condition. Since Coach Al is the sole provider for his family you can imagine the hardship this is putting on all of them, emotionally, mentally and financially. Coach Al is the guy on the field who alway...s lifts everybody up and puts all his effort into our Little League kiddos and families, helping whenever and wherever necessary. Well, now Coach Al and his family are in need and it is time for us to come together and show this family the love and support we have all received over the years. Please show this family what it's like for all of us to come together and help them in this time of desperate need. Any donation will help the family to pay for bills during this time. Please use the PLL Venmo link to send any donation for the family. https://venmo.com/Palmdale-LL-49 Please take a minute to pray for our dear friend and his family. We love you Coach Al. -Palmdale Little League

Wow!!! what a weekend/at Palmdale Little League... it is officially busy time. here’s a update for all you that are new to the/your league.. well our roof for the snack bar is getting completed this week, which Audrey Deem is heading for us and should be completed this Wednesday. Our snack bar was hit real hard with Graffiti and our newest honoree board member Steven Wood he was there ASAP to help clean the graffiti off so your children don’t have to see the bad in our commu...nity. Also Steven wood has been working on all of the fencing so our kids can have a nice fenced off area. More on (Steven coming soon) Today Micheal Campbell and his family donated time and money and purchased baseball clay to reinforce our mound on field 1 so that way it will last longer for years to come, so remember when your ball player is striking those kiddos out, part of the reason is because of the Campbell and family . As Mr. Campbell was getting more material for the field he ran into gentleman whose name was Jaime Villegas who offered to purchase 15 bags of the clay to complete pitchers mounds and home plate areas Thank Villages family!!so please make sure to thank these Volunteers because truly this league would not exist if it weren’t for the volunteers of this league!! If at anytime you feel you like you want to donate time money please let us know.and we will guide you in the right direction. Also German losaiga donated 7dozen batting cage balls which is something we really needed Thankyou German !!PLLVOLUNTEERSRTHEBEST I will keep you posted on all the upcoming See more

I read this on someone's post and had to share it, this is what it's all about! Please read One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do all their sports? Well I have a confession to make; I don't pay for my kids to to do sports. Personally, I couldn't care less about what sport they do. So, if I am not paying for sports what am I paying for?... - I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't. - I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go to their training but they go anyway. - I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated. - I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body and equipment. - I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates, gracious in defeat and humble in success. - I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't get that placing or title they'd hoped for, but still they go back week after week giving it their best shot. - I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals. - I pay for my kids to respect, not only themselves, but other athletes, officials and coaches. - I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create a champion and that success does not happen overnight. - I pay for my kids to be proud of small achievements, and to work towards long term goals. - I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of their achievements as I am. - I pay so that my kids can be out on the field or in the gym instead of in front of a screen... ...I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for sports; I pay for the opportunities that sports provides my kids with to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment! #PLLISTHEBEST
