This afternoon we were excited to hear Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger announce the easing of some restrictions related to the celebration of our graduates. The press release can be found at: https://covid19.lacounty.gov//memorial-day-new-openings-b/ While the lessening of these restrictions is not to the extent needed to host a traditional graduation ceremony, our school leadership teams are now working diligently to plan car parades to honor our graduates. ...You will receive information related to your school’s plans in the coming week. Our commitment to host traditional graduation ceremonies has not changed with this latest update. We will continue to monitor the ever-changing nature of this health crisis and communicate with you as information becomes available. As previously shared, we will give reasonable advance notice of the scheduled ceremony. #AVUHSD #AVFindYourPath

Hello Falcons! The AVUHSD is committed to offering students every pathway to their college and career goals. To assist with this, PHS will be administering the SAT free of charge to all 11th grade students. The SAT is a nationally-recognized assessment that many colleges and universities use as part of their admissions process. The SAT also allows students access to potential scholarship opportunities.... We will administer the SAT on Wednesday, March 04, 2020. This will be a full-day schedule (7:30 AM to 2:37 PM). Thursday, March 05 will be a flex day schedule (7:30 Am to 1:12 PM). Most students will take the exam with their 3rd period teacher, but there are some exceptions. The list of students by Student ID and testing classroom are listed in the attachment below. We have also attached the SAT Exam Day Schedule for your information. Para ayudar con esto, PHS administrará el SAT de forma gratuita a todos los estudiantes de 11 grado. El SAT es una evaluación reconocida a nivel nacional que muchos colegios y universidades utilizan como parte de su proceso de admisión. El SAT también permite a los estudiantes acceder a posibles oportunidades de becas. Administraremos el SAT el Miércoles 04 de Marzo de 2020. Este será un horario de día completo (7:30 a.m. a 2:37 p.m.). El Jueves 05 de Marzo será un horario de día flexible (7:30 a.m. a 1:12 p.m.). La mayoría de los estudiantes tomarán el examen con su maestro del tercer período, pero hay algunas excepciones.
