Palisades Media was proud to take part in this Congress! The 4A's / American Association of Advertising Agencies gathered the best minds in DEI+B for a 4-day event of work and investment to bring forth actionable ideas and goals to create a more diverse and equitable industry. What resulted from this congress were priorities, actions and measurements that the 4As will be gathering and turning into a manifesto for the industry.

Indigenous Peoples Day recognizes the legacy and impact of colonialism on Native communities, and pays respect to the cultures, contributions and resilience of contemporary Native peoples. PMG joins the Americans who, since 1977, have opted to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day in place of Columbus Day.

National Coming Out Day aims to spread LGBTQIA+ visibility to support those who are publicly out and those who are not. PMG celebrates and supports its staff and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who empower each other through their stories and experiences.

Here is PMGer, Sarah Salamatian, showcasing her painting of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She had painted this a week before RBG’s passing as a birthday present for her sister. We are eternally grateful for everything RBG has done in terms of justice and equal rights, and she will be forever be remembered as one of the greatest justices in modern American history.

For Hispanic Heritage Month, PMG wishes to acknowledge and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of people from Spanish-speaking nations. Of course, 2020 is a bit different. This year, we encourage you to attend virtual concerts, support Hispanic-owned businesses, and celebrate at home with your favorite Hispanic foods, music, and television.

During Rosh Hashanah, "Shana Tova" is said, which means "to a good year", and begins a period of time for the Jewish community to celebrate the creation of Earth and reflect upon their personal and religious journey with God. It is celebrated for 10 days leading up to Yom Kippur, a day of atonement for sins of the past year, to make apologies and move forward with a clean slate. Today marks Mexican Independence Day, the anniversary of Mexico's declaration of independence from Spain in 1810. All over the world, people of Mexican heritage celebrate the day with national pride, colorful parades, mariachi concerts, feasts, and parties to commemorate how this important event in the country's history sparked a revolution for freedom and justice. Palisades wishes the people of Mexican heritage a Happy Independence Day!
