CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!!! 9/21/2020 - 12/13/2020 Prose, poetry, and visual art! pacREV's theme for this edition: THE MIRROR MAZE. ... Our prompt? In a mirror maze, where everything is reflected repeatedly, the subject must confront their own image. With every turn, a new angle results in a different perspective, exposing the subject to multiple facets of themselves. When we apply this to the ways in which humans view their identity, we can also say that their self-perception is dependent on the context that surrounds them. Through this edition of pacificREVIEW, we attempt to explore the complexities and the fluidity of identity. How does our progressive learning of the communities around us shape or alter the reflection we see in the mirror? What aspects of our being contribute to our understanding of our identity? When we are forced to confront our own image, what is it that we see? **SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL DECEMBER 13, 2020** We are so excited to see what you artists submit!! For submission guidelines & to submit, please visit pacrev.submittable.com/submit DM us with questions or email us at [email protected]
