Project update! Here's a big old pile of photos showing our latest Porsche 911 restoration. Believe it or not, all these photos are the same car! We are restoring it to the Red Roof Inns D-Prod/GT3 spec this time around, as we don't want to cut off the roof again right now, this poor car has been through a lot already. Built by Don Istook in 1980, he won a regional SCCA title with it in 1981, got 3rd at the Runoffs in DP, then traded Dale Fazekas for his 924 SSA car. Dale and his buddy Dave Schafer put a roof on it, then gave it to David Finch of Raetech fame to make it handle. He tubed the front end, reworked the pickup points, and Dale ran it for 5 more years in GT3 once D-Prod went away. Years later, it was turned into a fake RSR and raced for about a decade like that before we got our hands on it.

We had a great time racing these beauties at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Spring Classic last weekend, and are looking forward to doing it all again with at the SVRA Sonoma Historics next weekend!

Setup day! This project has been a long time coming, so we're super excited to have it on the ground and ready for testing! With a PTH rollcage, custom stainless PTH-fabricated exhaust, a freshly rebuilt engine, JRZ dampers, OS Giken SuperLock differential, APR tune, Cobalt Friction brakes, BBS E88 wheels, this thing is ready to go chase some trophies!
