Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness is important to me because of the females in my life. Fortunately for me, none of them have had to battle this disease; however, I have seen other forms of cancer affect close friends and family members and have felt almost powerless during those times. If the little bit I can do to help ...is to participate in a Steps Challenge and raise funds, then I will do that to the fullest of my ability. Not only is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer a great organization to support, but the challenge brings the PRB family together and it is fun to see people get caught up in the moment of battling for first place. This year, my friend’s mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I witnessed firsthand the effects of this devastating and painful disease. I wear pink in support of my friend’s mom and all of the individuals who have had to walk into a doctor’s office to receive a positive test result. I wear pink in support of the ...family and friends who have had to hold a loved ones hand throughout treatments. I wear pink in support of bringing enough awareness to this cause, so that one day a cure is found. The space’s sloped glazing system made for a unique construction process and visually appealing results. Other project highlights included HVAC distribution, steel structure installation throughout, new Title 24 compliant lighting and all new finishes.
