Thank you GOT BAG Ryan Hickman and for everyone who participated. Stay tuned for more...
And they just keep rolling in... this little one brought in Tuesday from Doheny was very lethargic, malnourished and dehydrated. It seems we aren’t slowing down so please remember to respect wildlife and keep your distance when observing. Thank you all who keep calling these sick pups in and for your continued support giving these guys a second chance at life. #animalrescue #sealionpup #teampmmc #rescue #rehab #release #wildlife #citizensofscience #oceanconservation #secondchances #helpushelpthem
We can do better! #repost @markgirardeau Humpback whale swimming through our trash this weekend just a few miles off Huntington Beach. We humans have the brainpower, knowledge, and capability to do so much good for this environment that we get to be a part of, but instead we are failing. It’s been a month since our last big storm and still the trash can be seen literally everywhere in our local waters right now, most of it runoff from inland waterways. I’m glad to be able to share these images thanks to the drones angle and make people aware of what these animals are dealing with every day. #pickupyourtrash
The Pacific Marine Mammal Center was recently awarded a $55,000 grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for a one-year study of ways to treat, test and monitor killer whales remotely one of eight grants totaling $900,000 awarded through the foundation’s Killer Whale Research and Conservation Program. #research #science #oceanconservation #teampmmc #pmmc
RescueSSS ** #TeamPMMC has brought in 7 rescues just in the past 6 days Is this signaling a very busy rescue season to come...? We need to stock up on unflavored Pedialyte for our ‘fish smoothies’ for these pups who can’t yet eat on their own. $7 feeds a sea lion for 1 day. $50 feeds a sea lion for 1 week. Any little bit helps https://app.mobilecause.com/form/kPo-vQ?vid=g4tvj... #animalrescue #sealionpup #rescueseason #marinemammal #wildlife #sealionrescue #rescue #oceanconservation #helpushelpthem #pedialyte
