Pacific Heights Health Club 13.12.2020

THAT'S A WRAP For the past 15 years, it’s been an honor and a privilege to serve the thousands of people that have walked through the doors of Pacific Heights Health Club. During my time here, I have strived to create a warm friendly place where folks feel welcome and supported in creating and maintaining a healthy active lifestyle. I’ve met so many amazing people and made some lifelong friends during this chapter of my life thank you all! As much as I want to keep the clu...b while doing everything else needed to fulfill my weight loss coaching dreams, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. After much thought and consideration, I’ve come to the realization that it’s time for me to move on and start the next chapter in my quest to help more people achieve success in their weight loss journeys. In case you missed our previous post, the club officially closed its doors for the last time on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Christopher Columbus once said, You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. Perhaps this quote may help shed some light on my decision and the next part of my journey. If you’d like to join me in crossing the ocean and continue to work with me, please let me know and/or simply follow me on Facebook at Moxie Club or on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/amy.moxieclub/. The party is just getting started there. In closing, I want to again thank each and every one of you who have ever stepped through our doors. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve this wonderful community. It’s been an awesome ride! Wishing you a safe and happy Thanksgiving! - amy

Avoiding your favorite comfort foods is the BIGGEST MISTAKE you can make if you’ve been battling with the scale. If you’ve tried diets and meal plans before, you already know that getting rid of unwanted fat means consuming fewer calories than you burn. Unfortunately, most women struggling with this make the costly mistake of thinking they should avoid bad carbs, focusing on not eating their favorite comfort foods, tracking points or counting calories all of which trig...ger feelings of deprivation and scarcity. But without understanding what triggering these feelings do to your brain, you’ll waste months and months trying to create new habits that won’t stick and wind up back on the diet roller coaster. That’s why we created our Lunch & Learn Series, to show you how by shifting from that feeling of deprivation to one of abundance, where trust and the feeling of enough are the primary focus, we can create the self-care habits that we’ve always wanted. Habits that are sustainable. With this coronavirus pandemic, we know that stress and anxiety levels are higher than ever so we’re kicking off the Lunch & Learn Series with the topic, Emotional Eating. We’ll share with you the 3 key strategies that will help you to lower your stress and calm the urges. In case folks start hoarding vitamin C supplements , here are the foods rich in vitamin C include broccoli, cantaloupe, cauliflower, kale, kiwi, oranges, papaya, red, green or yellow pepper, sweet potato, strawberries, and tomatoes. Too much vitamin C can cause stomach distress. For most people, an orange or a cup of strawberries, chopped red pepper, or broccoli provides enough vitamin C for the day. Recommended dosage is 65 to 90 milligrams per day.... http://nypost.com//new-york-hospitals-treating-coronaviru/
