Happy Mother’s Day to all mommas, especially our Pacific Edge Moms who support us through and through! You don’t get enough praise and recognition for all the effort you put in behind the scenes. We love you so much and are very grateful for all the time, money and patience you provide us, both off the ice and on. Without you, our dreams would be just that! Thank you for helping us fulfill them .

Today we recap and celebrate Pacific Edge Open Juvenile team! If we were to describe this team in two words, it would be determination and perseverance! This was the first year that all these skaters competed synchro at the USFS level, and they eventually realized what level they needed to rise to. The beginning of the season was very rocky, with a rough first competition. However, you could see the fire in their eyes after that competition. They wanted to skate any time there was open ice; they wanted more off-ice practices; and they were determined to improve and prove themselves at USFS Pacific Coast Sectional Championships. And that’s exactly what they did! Well done OJ on having that growth mindset and knowing that it’s all about the effort, persistence and time you put in that will help you rise to the top.

Recap Day 2 of our Synchro Skills 2 team. Outside of the synchro world, many people don’t understand what synchronized skating is or, if they do know about it, they wonder why anyone would do synchro when they can jump and spin. Well, the answer is easy: FRIENDS FOR LIFE! This team learned a lot about synchro elements, they improved their individual skating technique and worked on their discipline and work ethic, but what they will really remember from this season is friendsh...ip and all the fun they had together! They were an energetic group that supported each other no matter what even when they are siblings in real life, when they competed against each other in individual events, when their results didn’t turn out as well as they hoped, and when they are dressed like cute little animals. They learned the most beneficial lesson of synchro you’ll always have a friend (or 12) when you need someone! See more

Pacific Edge is really missing the ice! Since we can’t be at the rink, a recap of last season will help us get through these tough weeks without our teammates. Starting it off is our Synchro Skills 2 team! The majority of this team had never skated synchro before or ever competed prior to this season. They started from scratch, learning how to attach to each other and what different elements were. We have never seen a team so motivated to learn so much they just soaked in all the information! Although their season ended prematurely, they improved tremendously from day 1 until their last day on the ice. They really hit it out of the ballpark at their last competition, ending the season with a 1st place!
