For any members who have not attended our meetings, we understand that the location is difficult to find by only using the street address. Here are two maps showing the location of our meetings at the Westgate Park Community Room (circled in red with a yellow arrow indicating the entrance to the room). We hope you find this helpful & look forward to meeting more of you at future meetings.

STREET PARKING ISSUES: I heard from a homeowner recently about an issue they are having where neighbors and visitors are parking on the street and blocking their driveway. Unfortunately, the streets are public and the HOA has no jurisdiction over them. I did some research with the City and was told that the Police handle all issues on the streets. This owner actually called the Police but they never showed up. I was told that the best option is to contact the beat coordin...ator and let him know about the problem. He may not be able to come out when you call but he can swing by during patrol and try to catch the offenders. Our beat coordinator is Mike Guerra and I was given three ways to contact him: 928-3781 ext 2277, his voicemail is x1198 or his work cell is 266-2358. I have actually met him before and he is a good guy. I hope that this information helps those of you dealing with this very frustrating issue. See more

"BEAT THE HEAT" 19m ago Mary Coffee from Pacific Crest Estates Source: Public Health Department - Animal Services... Did you know, that one unaltered female cat can deliver up to 15-20 kittens over the course of one year? By spaying or neutering your cats or kittens, it will help prevent the birth of unwanted animals and decrease populations in our local animal shelters. The only way to solve this problem, is one pet at a time. If each of us does our part, we can be successful. In an effort to promote responsible pet ownership and prevent accidental and unwanted litters of kittens, the Santa Barbara County Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance is holding its annual "Beat the Heat" spay/neuter campaign. The first 200 cats and kittens of Santa Barbara County residents signed up for spaying or neutering in the month of September will be FREE. Vaccines are provided at an additional cost. Pet owners should call one of the following organizations to schedule an appointment: SB County Animal Services, Santa Maria Animal Center, at 805.934.6968 Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, at 805.349.3435 Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, at 805.688.8224 Santa Barbara Humane Society, at 805.964.4777 VIVA, at 805.735.6741 C.A.R.E. 4Paws, at 968.2273 Santa Barbara County Animal Services, Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, Santa Barbara Humane Society, C.A.R.E 4Paws, VIVA, and the Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation are part of the Responsible Pet Ownership (RPO) Alliance, a coalition of Santa Barbara County animal welfare agencies, shelters, and nonprofit organizations working collaboratively to promote responsible pet ownership and ensure that affordable spay/neuter services are available countywide. Spay and Neuter Today; To Save a Life Tomorrow. Take advantage of our "Beat the Heat" program.
