San Diego, we need your help! My good friend Shannon Austin Hoelzer was involved in a serious hit and run accident Saturday, 12/12/20 at 2pm. Shannon was riding... his bike east on University at Park (on the border of Hillcrest and North Park). He came up to the traffic light, where a car - possibly a light colored (gold/tan/silver) older Subaru Forrester or Outback - started to turn right onto Park Ave, but stopped suddenly, blocking the bike lane. Shannon swerved to avoid the car, but they made impact, and he broke their back windshield with his whole arm. Unbelievably, the car sped off, leaving Shannon bleeding in the street at a busy intersection. If you have any information that may lead us to identifying this car or its driver, please let me know!
