Tonight, join us for another performance of A Christmas Carol: The Radio Play! Meet tonight’s actress, Alexis Orth, as we get to know her better with some of her favorite holiday traditions: Q: What's your favorite holiday movie?... AO: I LOVE Christmas movies. My favorite holiday movie has to be Buddy the Elf. His pure heart and indefatigable Christmas cheer get me every time! Q:What's your favorite holiday tradition? AO: Every year, our family goes to stand out in the cold to look at the beautiful Nativity scene outside of Woodlawn Memorial Park on El Camino in Colma. It reminds us where our focus belongs as we celebrate the Christmas season. In the words of Linus, "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown." Q:Who's your favorite character in A Christmas Carol and why? AO: My favorite Christmas Carol character is surprisingly the old woman who pilfers Scrooge's bedsheets. In her, we see the most pitiful, vivid example of greed lived out; truth be told, Scrooge is no better than she--he just has more money. I love her cockney accent, and her griminess makes the truth frighteningly personal to Ebenezer's case. Come see Alexis’s performance of A Christmas Carol: The Radio Play tonight at 7pm! It takes me two days! Q: Who is your favorite character in A Christmas Carol and why? AS: I like the Ghost of Christmas Present. He's big and bold and pure celebration for the day just for what it is. He celebrates people simply loving each other.
