1968 at Mission Beach, Mr. Fred Warren jumping over kneeling students and breaking two boards. Mr. Warren was a very talented Tang Soo Do practitioner, later that year he won first place in Black Belt sparring at the California State Fair Karate Tournament. Holding the boards on the left was Lloyd Francis (green belt at the time) and on the right Greg Verden (red belt). Standing in the background on the right watching Mr. Warren was GM Michael Conniry.
GM Michael Conniry 54 years ago and still practicing! GM Jong Hyan Lee's students are sitting in the background. A student of GM Estioko also tested for 1st Dan (name not none).

We lost a great man today. A 50 year member and mentor of the studio. RIP Grandmaster Ken Martin we'll all miss you!
About twenty years ago at the Pacific Martial Arts Foundation with Sifu Chang Lien Gway and past T'ai Chi students (some still practice). Master Chang is my main T'ai Chi instructor. I feel that the Cheng Man-Ching form that I learned from him is the best for me. I will be teaching that form this semester at Grossmont College.
I have been practicing T'ai chi Ch'uan for almost fifty years. My first instructor was T.S. Liang who is pictured practicing at Balboa Park, San Diego where I had private lessons from him in the 1970's.

This video was filmed in the mid 1970's at Grossmont College when I was teaching Tang Soo Do Karate there. The L forms and I forms ( 4 &5 ) as well as the last form are part Grand Master Jong Hyan Lee's art of Tangsoology. I forms 1,2,&3 are the Kee Cho Hyungs ( basic forms).
We must temporarily close the school again. Keep up your practice and stay in touch.
