Fusion update - We have been tracking an outage of an underlaying carrier that is affecting fusion services to Ukiah, Fort Bragg and Mendocino. Partial connectivity has been restored however the carrier reports more work yet to do to restore full service. We will update this page with more information as it becomes available.

Pacific Internet - Mail service updates All mail services are functioning at this time. A server failure has impacted pacific internet mail services for certain end... users. We apologise for this and are taking direct steps to address the issue and underlaying causes of the problem. We will post a more detailed post-mortem in a future followup. The server providing support for our non-hosted domain mail service (eg: any address @pacific.net), failed and was not repairable within a reasonable time frame. Therefore, we have elected to do a full scale migration of pacific.net mail to our hosting platform, hostedbypacific.net, which is our cloud based solution. This move has been in the works for several months and is unfortunate that we were forced to engage the plan earlier than we anticipated being fully ready. However, after a disruption in mail flow during the migration process, the mail service is operational and we observe mail deliveries per normal at this time. We are aware of some lingering issues still to be addressed: Some customers are seeing old, deleted email appear in their box: Although unexpected, this is a benign side effect and we will schedule a later clean up to address these. You may delete them yourself if they bother you, however. Some accounts appear to be 'missing mail' for the prior month: No mail has actually been lost, the issue is that there is a certain index corruption which prevents a time period of mail to 'not appear' even tho it is physically present on the server. We are working on repairing these indexes and so those messages should magically reappear on their own this weekend. We have taken a number of support calls today concerning mail access which turns out to be incorrect mail settings that haven't been noticed till now. Please refer to our website https://www.pacific.net/support/email/ for more information on setting up your devices correctly for the service. We will post an extended review as a follow up to this message at a later date. Thank you.

Status update - we have had an issue with very slow mail deliveries for normal non-domain hosted customers, resulting in what looks like no mail for about 24 hours. No mail has been lost however - it's been queued waiting for delivery, and users now should see new mail arriving normally now. We will post a more detailed synopsis later. In the mean time, if you are not seeing new mail, please first check that you have closed and restarted your mail client program first which may be necessary for it to see the new address of our mail services.
