We started a exciting project on Monday, working off a barge in the Sacramento River doing 120' deep shafts. These shafts have 108" permanent casing down to 50' and then are 96" down another 70' past that. First shaft was drilled to depth yesterday, today was spent splicing the rebar cage and tomorrow we pour concrete!

If you were driving South on Hwy 101 today in Petaluma between 9:30am and 10:30am we apologize for the traffic, we had to shut down the Hwy for a little bit as we needed the room. This is the first of 8 new CIDH foundations going in to replace Hwy 101 where it crosses over the SMART tracks. The Drilled shafts are 96" diameter and 124' deep, the rebar cage weighs 65,000lbs. Thanks goes out to all of our Employees, Ghilotti Construction, Caltrans District 4, CHP, Precision Crane, SMART, Shamrock Materials and K&G Concrete Pumping for all working together to make today a success!
