The Baylands Nature Interpretive Center

King tides are today between 12:30-1. Today’s tide is a 9.2ft. The highest for the year will be December 14th around 11:30 and will be 9.54ft high.

Our Foothill friends are enjoying their new view.

Our first virtual class. We taught the kids from Springer elementary school. If you have a class that you want taught virtually email [email protected].

We don’t have poison oak at the Baylands, but keep your eyes open if you are hiking up at Foothills Park these days!

The barn swallows are back. Turn up the sound to listen in. Remember to practice your social distancing while visiting the baylands.

King Tide for the year.....The old boardwalk would have been under water!

Restoration has begun!

Due to the weather the ribbon cutting event is cancelled today. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

The boardwalk is almost done. Super excited for everyone else to get to walk out there in February. Here are some pix from today.
