Dr. Katan is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry/Salus University and received a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2002. He received his undergraduate degree In biochemistry - molecular biology from UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Katan began practicing in 2002 and provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. He practices general eye care as well as treatment and management of ocular diseases and emergencies. Dr. Katan also performs Lasik consultations and follow up care for Lasik and cataract surgical patients. His professional interests include Multifocal and specialty contact lenses, myopia progression management and glaucoma. Dr. Katan is a member of the American and California Optometric Associations . In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, traveling and spending time with his family.
