#Repost @bayareahospitalitycoalition We’re asking Congress to pass the RESTAURANTS Act, which would establish the $120 billion Independent Restaurant Revitalization Fund, ensuring the restaurants that need it most will receive the necessary capital to reopen and stay open. Link in bio to take action. #toosmalltofail #saverestaurants

Happy 6th to our sweet, wild boy, who came to the world 2 weeks early on OL 2.0 opening day (he’s never one to miss a party!). And Happy Mother’s Day to all those who keep reaching out to the people they love, at both the best and hardest of times, because that’s what mothering is. Our little guy, since the moment of his birth, has been nurtured by his incredible Aunties, who model how giving equal voice to our strength and our softness yields the power to move mountains. Thank you @caseformaking @actuallydesignbuild @body.philosophy.club @existingtogether for being his family and his teachers. @ San Francisco, California

When you are in a space year after year there are certain seasonal moments you wait for without knowing you are waiting. This afternoon we greeted the appearance of these particular spring shadows with a delighted of course!, even though, as every spring, they managed again to totally surprise us.
Found these 2009 gems by @ericwolfinger who always knew how to capture the block’s foggy moodiness and neighborly warmth at the same time (because without either it wouldn’t be the Sunset)...here we have pictured our original cash register which I’m pretty sure we found on the street, @brooksopher bike (bc he would haul the entirety of our produce needs in massive bags from the Ferry Bldg markets) and one of the very first batches of our bread, snugly rising @ Outerlands
Since 2008, the SF City Option has collected health funds from local businesses with 20+ employees at a rate of up to $3 for each hour an employee works via the Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO). Many restaurants handle this requirement by adding the surcharges (often 5-6%) SF diners see on their service bills. Businesses in all sectors have faithfully paid into the fund, with the belief that it stands to support individual workers in times of need. Yet restrictions in ...the claims process and general bureaucratic challenges have, historically and presently, made it extremely difficult for workers to access their funds. The result: years of accumulated, unclaimed funds, still owed by the program to the thousands of workers who earned them. Now, we are calling on the city to lift programming and other claims processing restrictions, and allow workers to utilize these essential funds during this unprecedented health crisis. Please sign and share our Change.org petition (link in bio) to Mayor London Breed and the SF Board of Supervisors. The hardworking people of SF many of whom will not receive stimulus checks or unemployment assistance urgently need our City’s advocacy! #campaignhcso @londonbreed @matthaneysf @rafaelmandelmand8 @d4gordonmar @deanprestond5 @hillary.ronen @ahshasafai @supervisorstefani @shamannwalton @normanyeesf

To our beloved community, To protect our staff and guests, we have made the difficult decision to close for the duration of the SF Shelter-In-Place Mandate. We have been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and care we’ve received these last few tough weeks; it means so much to know our community is behind us. Our hearts go out to everyone whose families and livelihoods have been affected. We’ll be keeping our employee Go Fund Me campaign going to aid staff who are out of work (link in bio) and we’ll post any other updates here. Thank you all so much for your continued support; we miss you all immensely and can’t wait to see you on the other side of this. Dave & Lana
