Just passing on information just received: Illegal Charters: A revised ordinance will be presented to the SD Board of Port Commissioners on October 6, 2020,... 1-5pm. Port staff will provide some history on the original ordinance, what’s been added and how it will affect all charters. If the ordinance revisions are approved then staff will issue a request for proposals to hire an operator to provide oversite of charter operations. See more

Good news for boaters! Harbor Police contact officer, Alex Kahn, has forwarded a message to us today stating that the Port's "Four boats at a time" policy has been ENDED as of today (June 11). This means that there will be less waiting in line for drivers to access the ramp, but perhaps busier at times. Boaters will soon hear of this change and we should expect traffic at the ramp to increase a bit. Restrictions remain in place for facial coverings, family units only for recreational boating, and avoid gatherings.
