Tomorrow, the Widows and Orphans Fund will be hosting their 12th Annual Golf Tournament in efforts to support the San Diego Police Department by providing relief when tragedy strikes. The Widows and Orphans Fund is the only charity that directly supports these sworn officers in times of death or injury. They patrol all San Diego's streets which means these K9's are working 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week to ensure the safety of our local neighborhoods. With much anticipation, we are excited to announce that the K9 we funded officially starts the K9 academy today! The SDPD K9 Unit has been recognized as one of the best teams in the country. This unit patrols all San Diego's streets, not just a specific division. These K9's are working 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week to ensure the safety of our communities and we are so proud to support a program that benefits our police force, communities and families.
