Orland Rotary Club President Jeri Hamlin welcomes new member Lisa Humphreys, representing the Glenn County Farm Bureau. Lisa is an integral part of our community, and Orland Rotary welcomes her as a new member. Congratulations!
The Orland Rotary Club currently meets at the Glenn Success Square Conference Center, 131 E. Walker St. in Orland at noon every Monday. Mask wearing and social distancing is required for attendees. Bring your own sack lunch. We are able to accommodate 20 people per meeting. Thanks for your interest in Orland Rotary. Still working for your community.
Orland Rotary Club President Jeri Hamlin presents the club's annual $500 check to Orland/Willows Librarian Jody Meza. Speakers at meetings are honored with a book donated in their name to the Orland Library as part of the Rotary Club's ongoing support of the local library and it's programs.
Outgoing Orland Rotary Club President Rich Warren hands over the reins to incoming President Jeri Hamlin at a luncheon, socially distanced, of course. The new President is the Glenn County Superior court Commissioner and has been a Rotarian for more than ten years. She will serve the club as President until June 2021.
Glenn Literacy Projects will present Reading in the Park for Kids in both Orland and Willows. A chance to get out, get some fresh air, and enjoy an evening of listening to stories with your family. Seating and snacks will be provided. See you there!
On Monday, July 13th, the Orland Rotary Club will welcome as their guest speaker Lisa Morgan, Glenn County Office of Education Assistant Superintendent for Adult Education. Lisa will fill us in on the many hats she wears and the many programs she oversees. Due to Covid 19, the Rotary Club meets at the children's playground area of Lollipop Land. Bring a lawn chair and your lunch and join us.
