Such a fun event today at Alice Shaw School - students and staff connecting in a Halloween social distance get-together! Much laughing occurred as teachers and students saw each other in this festive event.

Joe Dana, Director of Charter Programs, shares, "Imagine being an elementary-aged student who is charged with doing distance learning from home. Wouldn’t you feel better about the task if you had your own desk and chair? A special workspace to call your own? Lots of good folks in Los Alamos understand this. Organized by Monna Dingman and the Los Alamos Foundation, community volunteers have gotten together the past few weeks to make desks and chairs for Olga Reed School and Los Alamos Preschool students. Their efforts to this point they have made 24 sets of furniture will make a big difference for kids. Olga Reed School expresses a heartfelt THANK YOU to these wonderful volunteers what a magnificent way to make the world better!!!"
