Of your charity, pray for the soul of Fr. Harry Neely, O.S.A., who has passed away in San Diego, at Nazareth House, in his ninety-first year. Fr. Neely taught Latin at St. Augustine High School, and was for a decade the chaplain of the Tridentine Latin Mass Society of San Diego, now St. Anne's FSSP parish. Fr Neely was also the first chaplain of Chorus Breviarii San Diego, and of the Brothers of the Little Oratory in San Diego. Fr. Neely was blessed to retain his full mental faculties to the end, and surrendered his soul peacefully, as he had lived. He will of course be missed, but the legacies of his ministrations will keep his memory green long into the future. May God grant him rest, light, and peace. Requiescat in pace.

The Brothers were honoured to sing and serve Missa Cantata at St. Anne's, San Diego yesterday, for the feast of St. Didicus of Alcalá, patron of our diocese. "Dulce lignum, dulces clavos, dulce pondus sustinet." ~ The dying words of St. Didacus; antiphon of the Good Friday hymn, "Crux fidelis."

Saints of the Oratorian family, intercede for us!!

This is a tremendous resource for rediscovering what the original Hallows E'en Mass, the Vigil of All Hallows, was really all about. We need to get it back, and "Reclaim All Hallows Eve for Christ"!!

Unfortunately, there has also been vandalism at St. Patrick's in the last couple of days. Two different windows were hit on the north side of the building. We should pray for the perpetrators, but we must always be watchful of God's house. The Fathers should get video surveillance for the North side of the church. It's a simple fix.
