Message from Mrs. Crooks - Principal: Hello, Orange Glen Owls! We hope you are having a safe and enjoyable summer. We are busy preparing for our students to return to Distance Learning on August 25th. As you know from our district communication, there are several things we need from you to prepare. If you haven't already, please complete the Program Model Selection Form as soon as possible. This is the form where you are indicating if your child will continue with Distance ...Learning once we are able to return to campus, or if your child will participate in the Hybrid Model. If this form is not completed, your child will be enrolled in the Hybrid Model. This link will only be available until Aug. 6th: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSfY2vqPg-4FMSAMR5/viewform We also need Returning Student Enrollment to be completed for the 2020-2021 school year. If you are new to our district, please complete the New Student Registration. This is an important step that needs to be done before we can distribute materials to your student next week. Once again, student enrollment or registration needs to be completed before we can give you materials and an iPad for your student. Look for the enrollment link at: www.eusd.org Next week, we will be giving student supplies, learning materials, and iPads to all students who have enrolled for this school year on the following days and times: Monday, August 10 from 8am-11:30am for TK, K, and Grade 1 Tuesday, August 11 from 8am-11:30am for Grades 2 and 3 Wednesday, August 12 from 8am-11:30am for Grades 4 and 5 Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14 from 8am-11:30 am for All Grades and Make-ups. This would also be a great time to bring any technology tools or library books that were not returned last year. Thank you, Owls and we are looking forward to getting our school year started!.

As you know, we are holding a Welcome Back Family Meeting for Orange Glen on Thursday, August 20th at 6pm. This meeting will be held via Zoom. To find the link, once our evening message is sent at 6:30pm today, please check your email that you use in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. You can also get the link from our Parent Calendar, which is on our school website. This meeting will be held using a webinar style format, so you can submit any questions about the start of our school using a Google Form. Please submit before the meeting and we will address your question. This form will also be included in your email. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Thank you to all who have come to school this week for your iPad, learning materials, and supplies. Please make sure you take the time to activate your iPad following the instructions you were given. If we haven’t seen you yet, please come to school tomorrow or Friday, August 13th or 14th, from 8am-11:30am. We are open and available for all students in all grades. Also, if you are not attending Orange Glen next year, please contact our office at 432-2487 as soon as possible.

Hello, EUSD Families. As our development of learning models continues for the safe return to school, we are in need of important data that will help determine our capacity for on-campus options. At this time, we are asking you to tell us whether you are planning to choose a Full Distance Learning Model for your child.... Based on feedback so far, we know that: A large percentage of our parents prefer on-campus learning five days a week. Some families prefer full distance learning at this time because of personal health and safety concerns. By indicating your choice of a Full Distance Learning Model in this survey, you are committing to this option for your child through December. This option does not affect your child's placement in school of choice. Our robust, high-quality Full Distance Learning program will include increased student and teacher accountability, rigorous learning tasks, and the ability for a more personalized approach to learning for participating students. We are asking all EUSD families to complete one survey for each child who attends an EUSD school by 5 p.m. July 10. As of this writing, under the current public health regulations and guidelines, the district will not be able to accommodate all of our students on campus every day at the start of the 2020-21 school year. Our goal is to return to a full-day, five-day on-campus option for every student as soon as possible. Your response here will help us determine the capacity for additional on-campus learning options. Hello, Orange Glen Owls! Just a reminder: free yearbooks for each student are available for pick-up tomorrow, Friday, June 12 from 9am-3pm. Our pick-up will be drive-through style so we can remain safe. For 5th graders, we also have a special gift, and will have an opportunity to take a photo near our bell. Also, if you still have an iPad, or library books to return, or have not picked up your student belongings, this will be the last opportunity to do this. We hope to see you tomorrow from 9am-3pm. A message from our county superintendents, working hard to create a plan for the 20/21 school year.

Hello, Orange Glen Owls! As you know, for "Every Owl Remembers" our Orange Glen PTA has graciously paid for each student to receive a free yearbook this year. Our yearbooks are scheduled to arrive this week, so yearbook pick-up for all students will be this Friday, June 12th from 9am-3pm. This is the only time we will have available for yearbook pick-up. Our pick-up will be drive-through style so we can remain safe. Also, if you still have an iPad, or library books to return, or have not picked up your student belongings, this will be the last opportunity to do this. We hope to see you this Friday from 9am-3pm for every student to pick up their free yearbook. Have a great day!

Important nutrition update: The district’s weekday meal distribution will continue through Aug. 10 at five locations. The free, to-go meal distribution will con...tinue to take place 11 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Included in the distribution are three meals per day as well as four additional meals on Friday to cover the weekend.
