Orange County Badminton Club (OCBC)

Orange County Badminton Club will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 26th) but will be open as normal on November 27th-29th.

Orange County Badminton Club will have new business hours starting Monday, November 16th: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays - 9 AM to 10 PM Tuesdays & Thursdays - 1 PM to 10 PM Saturdays & Sundays - 9 AM to 9 PM

Orange County Badminton Club has expanded its weekend business hours! OCBC is now open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturdays & Sundays.

Orange County is now officially in SUBSTANTIAL Tier 2 of the State of California's "Blueprint for Safer Economy" so OCBC will reopen tomorrow, September 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM. OCBC membership will be unsuspended and treated as a continuation of the March 2020 membership period (OCBC was opened March 1-16, 2020). OCBC annual membership expiration has been extended by 6 months (example: if your annual membership originally expire 3/31/2020 then it will now expire 9/30/2020.) OCBC will reopen on September 9, 2020 if Orange County is lower than "Widespread" Tier 1 on the State of California's "Blueprint For A Safer Economy" on September 8, 2020. All OCBC memberships will be active again upon reopening with the current monthly membership period continuing from March 2020 ending on September 30, 2020. OCBC members will be able to reserve one court per day for a maximum of two hours without paying the court rental fee. A non-member can play on a "free... for members" court only by paying a $12.00 guest fee. The OCBC monthly membership dues have been increased by 10%. OCBC is closed until further notice due to state government COVID-19 because Orange County remained on the County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days.

OCBC will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2020 for Independence Day Holiday!

Drop-in court rental is now allowed if an open court is available. OCBC is currently only open for court rental with the fee of $30.00 per court per hour. If you are not an OCBC member with current valid membership then you will also have to pay the daily $12 non-member fee per person to be able to play at OCBC.

(Revised June 24, 2020) In order for OCBC to comply with the State of California's COVID-19 guidelines, the following rules are now in effect at our facility until further notice: 1. All memberships will remain suspended until further notice.... 2. OCBC is only open for court rental with the fee of $30.00 per court per hour. There is a $12 daily fee for non-member to play at OCBC in addition to court rental. OCBC members with current valid membership do not have to pay this daily fee. Advance court rental reservations is recommended at: ocbadminton.skedda.com Reservations can be made for 30 minutes blocks with a minimum of 1 hour. There will be a maximum of 6 people allowed per court rental with the recommendation that only members of the same household play on a doubles team. Reservation cancellation less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded. Drop-in court rental is allowed if an open court is available. 3. Players must remain on the court they reserved. Names will be recorded for each court. 4. No spectator will be permitted in the facility. 5. Masks are strongly recommended when not on court in the facility. Temperature checks will be conducted upon entering the facility and any person with symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the facility. 6. Please do not enter the facility more than 5 minutes prior to your reservation. Please leave promptly at the end of your reservation time. Please do not linger to socialize inside the facility. 7. The locker rooms and showers will remain closed until further notice. 8. Racket and shoe rentals are suspended until further notice. 9. Private lessons will be available with our coaches at the hourly rate of $90.00 per hour for current members or $100.00 per hour for non-members. Private lessons can be scheduled by calling 714-639-6222 during normal business hours.

Dear Members and Patrons of the Orange County Badminton Club, We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our club in the near future. With the current COVID-19 reopening guidelines set forth by the state, there will be some major changes to how our club will operate when we reopen. The fees will be $30.00 per hour plus $12.00 daily fee for each non-member in the group. Reservations can be made for 1 hour, 1.5 hour, or 2 hours. There will be a maximum of 4 people per reservation with the recommendation that only members of the same household play on a doubles team. OCBC members with current valid membership will not be charged the $12 non-member fee as a goodwill gesture. Cancellations within 24 hours will not be refunded. 3. Players must remain on the court they reserved. Names will be recorded for each court. 4. No spectator will be permitted in the facility. 5. Masks are strongly recommended when not on court in the facility. Temperature checks will be conducted upon entering the facility and any person with symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the facility. 6. The Orange County Health Care Agency just approved the 6/12/2020 state reopening guidelines on 6/11/2020 so we are in the process of getting ready to reopen OCBC in compliance with those guidelines. We're hoping to reopen sometime next week with limitations due to the guidelines. We will post more information later. Thank you!
