Just a reminder that the gate code changes on January 1, 2021. The new gate code went out a couple weeks ago, so if you did not receive one in the mail please contact our membership chairperson, David Bacon, so we can get it taken care of. You can email him at [email protected]

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of longtime Oranco member Art Walters. Art was an avid archer and a mainstay at work parties for the last few years. Always one to regale the group with a story or a joke, Art had a laugh that could not be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his grandson Christian and the rest of the Walters family. Art will be sorely missed.

Our Charity 3-D and Toy Donation has been cancelled this year. We still want to do what we can to help this Christmas, so we will be holding a Toy Drive this weekend. Please bring unwrapped toys to the clubhouse on Dec 13th. If you know of a family who needs our help, please send their information to Joe at [email protected] with their name and contact info along with their children's ages and genders. The Club will also be making a cash donation to a local charity so if yo...u don't have time to shop...your cash donations will be greatly appreciated. We all know this has been a tough year but what better way to end 2020 than to put a smile on a child's face this Christmas. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas, Oranco Board

Good News!!! The Club has received the go ahead to open for public Sundays with limited capacity from 8:30 to 2:00 starting 11/22. All current San Bernardino County Covid guidelines should be followed when visiting the range including social distancing and protective face coverings. ... Members and Guest shooters are required to sign in at the clubhouse upon arrival. Anyone caught using the range without a current membership (must have your quiver card with you and visible) or guest wrist band will be asked to leave the range. Membership: The long shutdown has created a huge backlog for new memberships so we will have extra staff on hand to process new membership applications for the following 4 Sundays. To avoid overcrowding, we will be taking reservations for new members to come to the clubhouse to fill out their paperwork. Please email [email protected] to have your name put on the list. Walk-ins will be asked to schedule an appointment.

A great big thank you goes out to Blade Betts for the fantastic new kiosk near the front gate. Blade and his father, Ben, saw all the notices on the gate and fence and decided to build a new kiosk for our announcements as part of his eagle scout project. They designed the kiosk and received permission from the Eagle Scout board to go ahead with the project. This project was self funded along with some donations from the membership and our Club. Thank you to all of you who donated to the project.

COVID-19 UPDATE Good news members the San Bernardino Parks Department has approved our proposal for our safety requirements to reopen the range to members . The front gate combo has been reset to the original code. I would also like to remind everyone to have your personal sanitizing product to use each time you come and go out the gate, as the gate, chain, and lock are a common use item.... So please read the previous announcement with the rules. We are sorry, no guests still. If our members show they can follow the COVID rules, we will request the Parks Department approval regarding being able to open to the public again. Thank everyone for your understanding, Oranco Board

COVID-19 Attention all club members I just got off the phone with the county Covid-19 center and we must now close the Range to all club members immediately.... The combo will be changed Friday morning 4/10/20 Sorry for the inconvenience and up till now most members were doing very well with the safe distance practices but we now have no choice in the matter as we could face fines and possible further lease problems with the County Parks Department. That being said we are permitted to do maintenance work. Anybody that has a range or target assignment or that works with me on a regular basis may come out and do work. DO NOT bring your bow as no shooting will be allowed If you want to come out to do your maintenance work you will have to call me for the new gate code. When you are out there doing work remember to continue safe social distant requirements. Hopefully we will be able to open back to the members by the end of the month. we will keep everyone informed thru or email and web site postings. If you have any questions, please contact Joe Dotterer directly at (909)897-5686. He will be able to answer your questions. You can also contact other board members through our website under the contacts sections. Www.orancobowmen.org

It has been brought to our attention that some or all people who bring their pets to our Club need to pick up after their pets. This is becoming a problem and we do not want to have to create a No Pets Allowed policy on our range. Please help us by picking up after your pets so that others can feel safe walking on the range without incident.
