Under our first core value of #CARE, safety is important to us here at Operation Surf. From using soft top boards from @Stormblade, making sure our participants have quality instruction, and most recently, our COVID safety protocols. Did you know that we implemented strict COVID safety protocols throughout all our programs? This includes 100% testing of our pod during our week-long program and a lifeguard on duty during the entire week. Mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are incredibly taxing on those with depression. The relapse and overdose rate increase by 30% just since March. Day 3 started with sunshine and a lot of swell in Morro Bay, CA. This crew charged until the marine layer came through and reduced all visibility. Our community here at Operation Surf is unlike any other. We were joined for Day 2 of #OSCC20 with a good friend, @ShawnDollar, to help support Shawn's new project focusing on his journey of recovery from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from his accident nearly 5 years ago. This project will not only share Shawn's journey but bring in essential awareness around the side effects of TBI. Since his injury, Shawn has dedicated himself to researching progressive avenues of ...healing and health and sharing his journey with our community.
