Friends! The vagus nerve is one of the most magical and important structures in our body. I'm getting ready to send out an enewsletter that has an opportunity for you to learn how to engage this nerve for healing, settling, and calming your system. If you'd like to get this info, please go to my website OpeningSpaces.com and sign up for my newsletter. You will then be sent information. ... I'd love to share tools and tips to help you find ways to heal and grow into wholeness. <3

I made this tensegrity structure 15 years ago. It’s a rough representation of the spine, it’s transverse and spinous processes and the Myofascial tensions that hold us up in space. Over the years, this model has gone wonky. It’s shortened on one side, probably because of the way it was sitting over the years. This also has a strong effect on our nervous system, especially in this hypothetical case, because of this connection into the psoas, our deepest core muscle that is str...ongly linked w/vagus nerve and our nervous system. This is an excellent representation of what happens to the soft tissue of our body through repetitive use and patterns of holding. We get wonky. This is kinda what I feel like today. The good news is our soft tissue is shapable and changeable. It takes time, care and attention. It’s a body/mind process. This was such a good reminder to me today. May your wonkiness be held in love, care, and a higher and wider vision of alignment and wholeness.
