Within the first months of moving to Los Angeles, I met a One of a Kind human named Molly. On her hand there was a tattoo that denoted Don’t be amazed. Molly taught me the importance of not over celebrating your achievements and success; If you know your life is destined for success and happiness, then why be amazed when you accomplish more rungs of the ladder? The second part to this is to not be amazed when meeting someone you respect. In Los Angeles, it is common to pass by artists and idols whose work or lifestyle you resonate with strongly; this shouldn’t cause amazement. Preparing yourself for times that are amazing is sometimes easier said than done, but I feel fortunate to have this saying close to me.
