I've had the honor of meeting Tuari Sensei from New Zealand over a video conference. And we've been in touch ever since. It was a pleasure doing these interviews as he asks quite interesting and in-depth questions which made it fun! Thank you Yama Bushi - Tuari Sensei!

This year has been tough on everyone in the world due to the pandemic. Today may be the last training hosted here at the landmark site of Omine Karate Dojo. Opened in 1973 by Omine, Chotoku Sensei and Sensei Susan Budge. While the training will continue, it will just not be from this historical dojo location. Sensei Susan told me that if we have to change locations, the dojo will always be in our hearts as is with all of you that have come to this dojo. Be that visitors,... parents, but especially students and sensei's that have been here. From Nagamine O-Sensei, to Sensei Shinzato, Katsuhiko. Many well known martial artists have been present in this dojo. We are still active but only training remotely but still 5 times a week. The spirit is strong with all the students and always will be, as is the legacy of Omine Sensei and Sensei Susan. From our dojo to all of you. Akemashite Omedetogozaimasu! Happy New Year! See more
