For us at Olive+Rose Earth Day means remembering where your products come from and asking yourself if you are living in balance with nature. We work with companies that utilize high quality materials for their furniture like FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified woods, low VOC stains and recycled materials for their fills and packaging. We also encourage our customers and clients to purchase better quality and authentic items that will stay with them for years, rather... than disposable design. My design pick on this Earth Day is the artwork of photographer @gmoulinlimitededitions and our locally made Adelyn Sideboard. Gregoire Moulin is a travel photographer whose work always reminds me of growing up going to the beach- those long California summer days watching surfers and enjoying the local beach culture. Our Adelyn sideboard is made right here in Santa Rosa one at a time. No mass production here, each one is unique, handmade and the classic design will last a lifetime. See more

I talk a lot about supporting local and small, and when we travel, we always try to walk the walk. @mandrewmiller and I came across the cutest little surf town of Paia. Lot’s of cute local shops and restaurants that feel more authentic than the chain tourist spots. I found the coolest Maui designed brands here and had to share. This jumpsuit is from @acacia and I also fell in love with a great little brand called @theimries. You get to know the local culture so much more when you invest time and energy into finding small towns like this.
