Imagine having a silent partner in your business that doesn’t contribute anything and only takes. Crazy Bernie wants to tax home flippers 25%. As with most leftist policy this one will have negative affects on the industry and here’s why. A typical fix-flip has an eco system made up of a buyers agent, selling agent, hard money lender, title company, contractor, contractors laborers, end buyer, end buyers lender, end buyers agent, home inspection company, pest company. I am c...ertain a 25% tax will reduce the amount of transactions being done and will have unintended consequences on those that service small mom and pop real estate investors. Why? Because less transactions means less escrow officers, less loan officers, less contractors, etc. resulting in less jobs. I try not to post politically charged messages but I do want people to see this one small example of why it really does matter who runs the country. - Oleg Artishuk See more

"Opendoor and Amazon have entered the real estate market in Sacramento, and Zillow will expand here soon too, so it’s important to know how these companies work. Companies such as Opendoor or Zillow might offer to buy your home at a price that looks reasonable, but the fine print makes all the difference. These companies are allowed to claim they don’t charge real estate commissions, but they have a 7 percent service fee, basically in lieu of a commission." www.comstocksmag.com/article/shaking-real-estate
