The Cosmopolitan Hotel sits atop the former home of San Diego pioneer Juan Bandini. Constructed in 1827, the original adobe home is the second-oldest building in Old Town and one of the oldest in San Diego County!

The Cosmopolitan Hotel Re-opens!!! One of San Diego’s oldest operating hotels in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park has re-opened its doors to hotel guests as of June 12th. Guests staying in the 1870s-era, ten-room hotel can expect a safer, more COVID-conscious operation without sacrificing the renowned hotel’s charm and beauty. While the Cosmopolitan’s restaurant will be remaining closed for a while longer, hotel guests can avail themselves of the fully operational adjacent Fiesta de Reyes Plaza and Casa de Reyes Restaurant with its unique shopping, dining and entertainment.
