Living with a cat will give you a whole new perspective on life. Where once your perspective was, How do I decorate my home the way I want, a cat will help you realize that it’s far better to decorate your home in the least-destructible way. Any cat owner will soon find themselves squinting at their furniture and wondering A) how will they climb this and B) can they knock it over? Notice the carefully chosen words, how will they climb this and not will they climb this? ...Rest assured that if a cat can climb something, they probably will climb it. And that includes your Christmas tree! For many people, the holidays are the time of year when they really learn how acrobatic their cat can be. Even after you cat-proof your home, new furniture, decorations, ornamentation, and especially a Christmas tree can test the limits of your careful planning. A Christmas tree is not only a potential holiday jungle gym full of shiny ornaments and dangly (and dangerous!) tinsel, but it’s also teeming with free snacks in the form of pine needles, which can cause digestive upset or even damage.

Today we want to honor our one and only Misti! Misti is an RVT. Registered veterinary technicians (RVTs) are educated and trained professionals who practice animal health care alongside veterinarians and scientists. By performing diagnostic procedures, administering treatments and monitoring patients, the RVT allows the veterinarian to provide a higher level of care to all animals. She helps to keep the treatment room running at all times and shares her extensive knowledge with all our staff. Misti also has a deep love for animals unlike anyone we have met. She truly cares about each and every animal as if they were her own. We are so lucky to have Misti as part of our amazing team!

These brisk mornings call for a little extra snuggle time

These autumn nights bring out the best of us!

Today we want to give a big high five to these rockstars! While snuggling puppies and kittens are a big part of their job, they do so much more! Our technician assistants are skilled in assisting with medical treatments for your pets. They run lab samples including blood and urine to help our doctors diagnose and treat your pets. The work of a veterinary technician is dirty and challenging some days but these girls are always willing to step up to the plate! We couldn’t run the hospital with out these girls!

Vet Staff Appreciation Week Now that the new normal created by the coronavirus has become the standard, lots of people are left feeling exhausted. We know that being a healthcare worker on the front lines can be one of the hardest jobs. Behind every call is a worried parent and these girls make sure the clients are getting the help you and your pet need. We want to say thank you to these amazing girls for always answering our calls and making sure we get what we need and most importantly, still smiling through these crazy times!

It’s Veterinary Staff week! This is the best week to honor their commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for all animals. These are the most patient, hardworking, caring, committed people we know! Please join us in celebrating these important team members this week!
