So we did this! Our first Pre-K Graduation Drive Bys...TK and Andrea had so much fun visiting with all of our Pre-K kiddos and their families today. It wasn’t how we visualized our two years together ending, but I think we made the most of a challenging situation. I love you all....and I can’t wait to hear about your next Great Adventure. Hi parents, everywhere! We know that the days can feel really long sometimes. Here is a little lifeline... Open Gate Nursery School will be offering an interactive virtual experience of some kind every weekday from 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM. The target age is 4-6, but 3's can certainly try it out. It might be story time, songs, a craft, show and share, or a puzzle. Additionally, we are offering activity sessions on Wednesdays at 2 PM and Fridays at 4 PM. This is a fundraising ...project for us, so the pricing is $40/week for access to all 11 AM activities or $60/week for the whole shebang, including the Hump Day activity at 2 PM and the Freaky Friday activity at 4 PM. Open Gate Nursery School has made the difficult decision to cancel Touch-a-Truck for 2020. Due to the CDC large group guidelines, social distancing and the uncertain world environment, it was a decision that was unfortunately inevitable. We thank everyone for their continued support of our community and school, and wish everyone health and wellness in the times to come. We look forward to seeing you at Touch-a-Truck 2021!

Save the date! Open Gate Nursery School’s Ninth Annual Touch-a-Truck fundraiser will be on Saturday, April 18th, 2020, from 10am to 2pm. Touch-a-Truck is a hands-on family event designed to give children an opportunity to see and touch their favorite things on wheels, and to meet the men and women who operate these vehicles. We are proud to offer this fun event to our beloved Redwood City community and neighbors from around the Bay Area. Your admission fee supports our play-based community preschool, where both parents and children learn and grow together. Find out how you can become an Open Gator while you’re there!

Invite friends with kids age 2 to 5 to our Open House to learn more about our programs and amazing community. Open house on Wednesday, January 29th and Thursday, January 30th, from 9:30 to 11am. No registration needed.

On November 22nd, the Open Gate community came together to bring Thanksgiving baskets to 60 families less fortunate than ourselves. Moms, Dads, siblings, kids and teachers were there to ask: How can I help?. We were moving boxes, portioning food, filling baskets and loading cars. The students were mirroring our efforts in the art room as well. The final surprise was something that Teacher Kristi had done with the students... beautiful fall artwork with a note from Open Gate wishing each family a Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you so much to everyone and specially to Corinne for making it happen.
