Today at Station Bodega Bay we said goodbye to BM1 Thurman. BM1 has been with us for the last three years, serving as a Heavy Weather Coxswain, Boarding Office...r, and the unit’s Weapons Petty Officer & Law Enforcement Instructor. He has been a great section leader, mentor and friend to the crew during that time. We wish him the best of luck as he will be transferring to USCGC Maria Bray in Jacksonville, FL. Job well done shipmate, you will be missed! We also acknowledged a few of our members with some recognition: BM2 Bowers, BM3 Flannery and SN Parker were recognized for their hard work, helping to replace the units’s flooring. BM2 Schaefer, BM3 Flannery and SN Schuster (not pictured), were recognized for serving as color detail for a flag lowering ceremony at the old CG Station in Bolinas. Bravo Zulu!
