The City would like to thank all the volunteers who came out to make a difference in our beautiful community on Chico Spring Clean Day! The community cleanup event held on Saturday, April 24th, was an incredible display of community volunteerism and City Council leadership, said City Manager Mark Orme. City staff received the final tonnage totals from the event, which yielded 10.6 tons of garbage. Additionally, a 30-yard scrap metal bin was almost full. The City officially had 404 volunteers sign up for the Chico Spring Clean Day event. However, many team leaders advised that there were numerous individuals showing up to help the day of the event. This resulted in an estimated 500 volunteers contributing to the beautification of the City! #ChicoSpringClean #Volunteer #CommunityCleanUp #ChicoCalifornia
