Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, we remember and honor our brave brothers and sisters who lost their life in the line of duty.

This past weekend our Southeast SET unit conducted a car stop in RMV. The driver had a felony warrant & 6 misdemeanor warrants. A search was conducted of the vehicle which contained a billy club, stolen mail, heroin, & drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested for his warrants, a felony weapon charge, plus numerous fraud & drug violations.

Deputies from the Behavioral Health Bureau were assisting Orange County Public Works in the Santa Ana riverbed when they encountered a homeless woman armed with... a metal pipe. The woman was agitated and appeared to be experiencing a mental crisis. Working collaboratively, BHB deputies, the Hostage Negotiations Team and OC Health’s Crisis Assessment Team were able to convince the woman to drop the pipe. She was then taken to the Be Well OC Crisis Stabilization Unit for treatment. Be Well is a new and extremely valuable resource to law enforcement and the residents of Orange County; providing mental health and addiction assessment, stabilization, and recovery services, co-located and coordinated, and uniquely available to all residents of Orange County. This past week our Southeast SET unit conducted a car stop in RSM. The driver was on probation and a search was conducted of the vehicle which contained brass knuckles, meth, and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested for a felony weapon charge & numerous drug violations.

Last week our Southeast SET(Special Enforcement Team) observed a vehicle with expired registration driving near Oso Pkwy and Antonio Pkwy. The male driver had a meth pipe visible on the front passenger seat and a search was conducted. Deputies located drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen mail. The driver was arrested for felony fraud charges in addition to numerous drug violations.... #LasFlores See more
