Several people talk to me about moving out of California to avoid taxes, and potholes, and . . . . Here is an interesting article that talks about some of the issues related to moving out of state.

This is going to be a beautiful event. It is always a treat to hear Gayle Heuser, this year she is doing a special event combining her beautiful music to help share the stories behind some selected Memories in the Making art. This Friday at the Muckenthaler,7:30.

Great and way overdue news for Vietnam Era Veterans who served at sea. "Blue Water Sailors" Until now these sailors that were exposed to agent orange on ships were not given the same status as those who had served on the ground in Vietnam. Under the new law makes many of those Blue Water Sailors and Marines eligible for veterans benefits if they suffer from one of the many presumptive illnesses associated with Agent Orange. If you are a veteran or a family member of a veteran... who served in the Blue Water Navy and believes that you have an illness related to exposure to Agent Orange, even if you have been denied benefits in the past. Now is an opportunity to reapply. I recommend you get to your county veterans service office or other veteran's service officer such as Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS, etc. to get help submitting your claim. If you are not able to get help from one of the above please contact OC Elder Law. Remember, no one can ever charge you for helping you with your initial VA claim. See more
