OUR FAVORITE COBBLER It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Martha’s father, Dale Fietz, a founder and greatest supporter of O’Brien Center of the Arts. Not only did he perform as The Candyman in CANDYLAND, The Cobbler in THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES, The Charbon Vendeur in THE HOLIDAY GIFT, his last role at age 90 would have been one year ago as The Wizard of Oz, before COVID-19 cancelled the show a week before our performance. He also helped to desig...n and build our sets, props, and ballet barres. A safety engineer by profession, he also served in the U. S. Air Force and space program, was an award winning artist and photographer, the oldest downhill ski racer in California, the first Santa Claus at the Great Wall of China, and among his many inventions were two that NASA used on the moon to determine its hardiness. He will best be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. Rest In Peace Papa, 9/26/1929 - 3/14/2021. See more

Merry Christmas from Obrien Center of the Arts! We are grateful to all the support that we have received from our dancers, families and community. We need your continued support by purchasing OCOTA sweatshirts, B is for Ballet book, and flash drives and tickets for our Holiday Gift 2020. OCOTA wants to continue to keep dance alive either in our studio, outside our studio and/or on Zoom. Go to obriencota.net to place your orders.
