This is a sad day for the Oakhurst Community Band, as we have lost a dear member of our music family, Pat Mierkey. He was a lovely musician who often volunteered his time to help the band. He also enjoyed conducting the band during fun, up tempo Marches that always kept us on our toes! Our hearts go out to the Mierkey family during this time of loss. Though Pat is gone, he will never be forgotten.... "The song is ended but the melody lingers on..." - Irving Berlin

Hello All, Our Oakhurst Community Concert Band and Jazz Band have been in rehearsals to bring you music from Broadway to Big Band Jazz, for our traditional spring concert. As always, the health and safety of our band members, as well as our community, is our top priority. Due to the COVID-19 issue, our Executive Board has decided to post-pone our upcoming Spring Concert. A future date is still to be determined, so please look for updates on our band Facebook Page @OakhurstCo...mmunityBand, or call 559-760-3849. As a non-profit organization, we rely on and greatly appreciate your donations to continue providing memorable concerts and a venue for musicians of all ages to come together to share the joy of playing music. Come join the band!! We are always looking to add new members, and would love to have you! The jazz band rehearses on Mondays from 6-7pm and the concert band rehearses on Mondays from 7-8:30pm.
