Dear Visitors: As of Monday Jan. 4th the Preserve is now open after our recent winter storm event. Our hours remain Mon-Sun 8:00am - 4:30pm. Please note that with any future winter storm events, the Preserve will be CLOSED. Also, with any snow accumulation, the trails will be closed to protect the plants in the botanic garden.

The Preserve will be open all day on Christmas Eve (Thurs. 8 am until 4:30 pm) . We will be CLOSED on Christmas Day (Fri. Dec. 25th), but open again on the 26th (weather permitting).

Around 2:15 am Friday morning, Los Rios Rancho caught fire. The bakery, ranch store, packing house, and the preserve's ranger shop has been lost. No one was hurt and the cause is under investigation. Photos: Preserve's Ranger Shop and Los Rios Rancho's store front.
