1000 Meals Today! With our newest community partner @northoakland_mutualaid as well as @peoplesprograms and @bfcoutreach 1000 meals reached our unhoused commu...nity on Sunday. We are also excited to be working with @oaklandbloom and @understoryoakland chefs who are serving Eritrean Spiced Chicken with greens and rice, Burmese chicken curry over rice and Okonomiyaki. @oaklandbloom is a nonprofit advancing equity in the food industry by bringing opportunity and ownership with migrant and refugee chefs. Chef Pa Wah who provided us meals today is also hosting a pop up today Sunday 5/9 from noon to 3pm at 528 8th Street. oaklandbloom.org

OB is in the spotlight, featuring our work on supporting pathways to ownership and opportunity centering migrant/refugee and BIPOC food workers through Understory ! People are energized to see new models emerging in this moment when there’s so much hardship and so much loss.
