Cyber Weapons Lab LA: Build Your Own WiFi Duck Keystroke Injection Tool, Saturday April the 11th! The Wi-Fi duck is a remotely accessible keystroke injection tool that allows you to write, save, and run payloads over Wi-Fi from any browser. Using an ESP8266 microcontroller paired with a Atmega32u4, the Wi-Fi duck creates a hotspot for you to control the device once plugged in, and a graphic user interface to store and run playloads. This allows payloads to be written for any ...operating system and stored on the Wifi Duck, and then run via the web interface once it’s plugged in. It also makes it easy to run payloads live from the browser window, in the event you need to paste text into a computer from across the room. With a range of up to half a mile using a directional antenna, the Wi-Fi duck can allow anyone to inject keystrokes to a computer remotely. To get it working, we’ll be soldering a D1 Mini and a Pro Micro to a printed circuit board, flashing each microcontroller with firmware, and then deploying the Wi-Fi duck against a Raspberry Pi target. All students will go home with their own WiFi-enabled USB hacking microcontroller board. Pandemic Update! We've cancelled the next two Tuesday open meetings. NSL will be closed to the public for at least the next two weeks then we will re-asess. If you've signed up for classes, some teachers will be livestreaming the class and mailing (or make available for pickup) any hardware that is included. Keep an eye on Facebook and individual Meetup events for info. Some smaller classes may be held at the space at the discretion of the teacher.... Current NSL members that would like to use the space can contact a keyholder (discord, email, etc.) for access. We only require that we keep people to the minimum and everyone practice good hygiene e.g. handwashing, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, social distancing. Obviously don't come in if you're sick or have been around anyone that is sick. Cyber Weapons Lab LA: Wi-Fi Signals Intelligence & Surveillance, Saturday March the 28th If you’ve ever wanted to see through walls to tell if someone is home or not, Wi-Fi signals intelligence can do that and more! In this class, we’ll explore using Wi-Fi to track smartphones, identify what devices are inside a building, and discover which networks a smartphone has connected to before. Students will learn how to track wireless targets without needing to know the password to ...a Wi-Fi network, including identifying devices not connected to any network, unmasking devices using MAC address randomization, and creating a graph showing what networks nearby Wi-Fi devices are connected to. At the end of the class, students will be able to use Wi-Fi signals to identify the manufacturer of nearby wireless devices, find which networks nearby devices are connected to, learn the security of any nearby network, and determine whether or not someone is home by examining wireless traffic. We’ll explain how to avoid Wi-Fi surveillance and what you can do to protect yourself. He apprenticed with a traveling locksmith serving rural areas of central California from a mobile lock shop. He then worked in Las Vegas at the firm manufacturing high security products for the gambling industry. He then formed a company supplying electronic door controls and ran it for the next twenty-five years. Bill is a Life Member of the Society of American Magicians and a Magic Castle member for 24 years.
